Milan Cathedral is the cathedral church of Milan. It is dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente and is the seat of the Archibishop of Milan. The Gothic cathedral took almost six centuries to finish and is the fifth largest cathedral in the world, and the largest in all of Italy.

Construction of the cathedral started in 1386, directed by Archbishop Antono da Saluzzo. On May 20, 1805, when Napoleon Bonaparte was about to be crowned King of Italy, he ordered the facade to be finished by Pellicani.

The Milan Cathedral is one of the most important sightseeing attractions in Milan. From the terrace you will have a great view over the city and you can see the cathedral from inside.
